Just a recap of some figures that I wrapped up a few months ago. The murloc on the right was intended to have the same rainbow design as for the Deepwater Naga. This Murloc has a green design, with purple spines and red tips. I wanted a skin pattern with a light belly and a dark back; I tried to mottle the two at the intersection, but the results weren't so great. The belly has a shiny green made using mixed silver. The claws and teeth are stained with red. I'm still not excited about this piece, and I have another murloc started. |
These are some other older pieces that S1, D1, and myself have finished. I applied some gloss to the Dino Raptor, which probably has my favorite blending job of all my work so far. The Midnight Panther is D1's; we used a silver and purple mix on top of a purple coat (her painting coverage is a bit hit-or-miss, so it's a bit spotty). The Shadow Specter is S1's and he used a gold paint from school. He tends to lose attention before his pieces are finished, so this is pretty good work for him.
