My old yellow is fluorescent yellow, and dries to a glaze rather than an opaque color. This new one allows for a real yellow and to mix colors in the direction of yellow, but it looks like an egg yolk. When I mixed it with white to create a blonde color, it looked just like scrambled eggs, which was surprisingly unappetizing.
The pink is "old rose" and looks nice when added to the flesh color I'm using, which looks a little jaundiced on its own. Two drops of flesh and one of pink makes for a nice pink skin tone.

I was then using it for all my pieces, but I discovered that I had a depth perception problem. The brush was not in the right place at the right time and stand-alone details never came out right. Particularly, the face of one figure I would keep putting the eyes and mouth in the wrong place.
I find it easier now to add fine detail by eye now, but if I need to clean up edges or fill in missed spots, then I can hit the brush against existing color and move it around against an edge - this has worked very well for me.
