Regardless, this stuff is paint.
Reviewing the images below, the face needs some cleanup. I originally had a blended skin tone but it looked bad, so I painted over it with a few drops of flesh. Using a premixed color will be helpful during touch-up because I don't have to worry about getting the color mix right. This is definitely an area where the Helping Hand will... help? I think the sapce between the brow and the hairline is less than a millimeter. The orange shoulderpads need better definition at the edge, where the silver braid has flowed over. I painted a bootstrap bronze, but I can't tell if that's an irregular boot buckle or a blob of paint that missed the target. It wouldn't be so bad either way. The cloak does need some definition at the folds and creases, maybe even some highlighting. I'm thinking about painting black the inside of the sleeves, or at least the part around the arm to create definition and shadow. Also, the palms could use some delicate black to delineate the fingers, but I don't know if I have any brushes fine enough to do the task.
