Most of my painting lately has been a Dow army, consisting of 3 swordsmen, a priestess, and a wizard. The last two are the same sculpts as Mistress of the Underdeep and Archmage of the Underdeep. I also have an Old Man of the Underdeep, which uses the same sculpt as the King of the Mountain, but he's been painted in an Underdeep palette like the rest. Not surprisingly, I'm awfully sick of blues, blacks, and purples. I want to paint Gryffindor, just to see red and gold again. Right now I'd love to have a sculpt of Smaug resting on his pile of Dwarven gold... well, one can dream.
As I said previously, I've really wanted to work with some brighter colors for a while. This figure from Castle Ravenloft, the Elven wizard Immeril, let me work with some bright blues and silvers, and the fireball was a nice touch. He has a full post coming up soon, so be patient for the full reveal.
